Qualcomm has announced that it will acquire Alphawave IP Group plc (AWE.L), a company focused on connecting technologies, through Aqua Acquisition Sub LLC, which is a subsidiary of Qualcomm. The deal values Alphawave at about $2.4 billion.

The acquisition is expected to be finalized in the first quarter of 2026, but this will depend on meeting certain conditions like getting approvals from regulators and shareholders of Alphawave Semi, as well as approval from the High Court in the UK.
