Klaar, a San Francisco-based performance management platform, has officially launched in the United States and has secured $5 million in funding. This funding round was led by Prime Venture Partners and included additional investment from existing investors, Shastra VC.
The funds will help Klaar expand its presence in the U.S., bring on new clients, and grow its engineering team in India. The company aims to hire about 40% more employees there over the next year to develop new AI tools. Klaar provides a modern platform for performance management, replacing old systems with an easy-to-use, AI-driven solution. This platform helps companies see their goals clearly and gives fair feedback to employees. It helps identify areas that need improvement quickly and provides useful suggestions to enhance performance and career growth.
Klaar’s tools fit into usual business applications, offering real-time support and insights. This helps leaders and employees save time and energy when setting goals and tracking results that matter to their specific jobs. The data-driven reports help reduce bias and improve fairness within teams and the entire company.
“Klaar powers timely, meaningful conversations that help any leader effectively mentor and coach employees and build a high-performing team,” said Lana Peters, Chief Revenue and Customer Experience Officer of Klaar.
“Performance management has remained one of the most under-served yet mission-critical areas in the HR technology landscape. Organisations globally are struggling to engage talent, align teams, and drive productivity. Klaar is tackling this challenge with a differentiated, HR-first, AI-powered platform that brings clarity, fairness, and effectiveness to performance conversations. We are excited to back Klaar as they embark on their journey towards becoming a global category leader in this space,” said Amit Somani, Managing Partner, Prime VP.
