Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, has announced a new partnership with Telstra, Australia’s leading telecommunications and technology company. This joint venture between Infosys and Telstra aims to create a powerful AI-led cloud and digital transformation that leverages the strengths of both companies to help enterprises modernize, innovate, and operate more efficiently. This partnership will enable Infosys to support businesses in Australia as they transition into the world of artificial intelligence (AI).
Infosys will acquire 75% of Versent Group, which is part of the Telstra Group. Infosys will run the operations, while Telstra will keep a 25% share in Versent, showing its belief in the growth possibilities of this partnership.
This collaboration will combine Telstra’s network, Versent’s local expertise, and Infosys’ global reach. Versent Group is recognized for assisting Australian businesses in developing and implementing cloud strategies alongside top industry partners.
With a team of 650 engineers and experts across Australia, Versent Group will enhance Infosys’ presence in the local market. They mainly work with large organizations in sectors like government, education, finance, energy, and utilities. This partnership will enhance Versent Group’s abilities in cloud and digital transformation with Infosys’ advanced AI technology and consulting services. They plan to use Infosys Topaz and Infosys Cobalt, along with cybersecurity solutions from The Missing Link.
Their goal is to bring new value to help Australian businesses and government organizations improve their digital transformations. In 2024, Infosys and Telstra started a multi-year partnership to improve software engineering and technology transformation, enhancing customer experiences.
In 2025, they announced another partnership with Telstra International to lead technology innovations. This new joint venture will further strengthen their partnership for the technology transformation of businesses in the region.
Vicki Brady, CEO of Telstra, mentioned, “Our partnership with Infosys shows our belief in the value we can create together. Their global reach and expertise will help grow Versent Group in the region.”
