HCLTech, a leading global technology company, has announced a strategic partnership with Dolphin Semiconductor, a pioneer in the field of low-power semiconductor intellectual property (IP). This collaboration aims to develop energy-efficient chips for both Internet of Things (IoT) devices and data-centre workloads.
HCLTech will utilize its deep expertise in system-on-chip (SoC) architecture and design to incorporate Dolphin’s specialized low-power IP into its silicon design processes. This integration will create scalable, high-efficiency SoCs that significantly reduce energy consumption while preserving strong computational power across a variety of workloads.

HCLTech and Dolphin have not publicly disclosed the financial terms of the deal. Likewise, the timeline for when these energy-efficient chips will be ready, either for prototyping, tape-out, or commercial deployment, remains unspecified.
