India, October 6, 2025: Airtel Business has won a long-term contract from the Indian Railway Security Operations Centre (IRSOC) to provide key security services to safeguard the digital systems of India’s railway network. Airtel will design, build, implement and operate a greenfield, multi-layered, cybersecurity 24x7x365 protection ecosystem that will serve as a resilient defence barrier to safeguard the Indian Railways’ IT backbone, while ensuring uninterrupted, secure and seamless digital operation.
Airtel Business will implement several layers of protection to secure the railway’s crucial databases. They will create a strong and safe system that ensures all digital operations of the railways are secure. This includes looking after around 160,000 employees working at 26 different locations.
Airtel will use advanced technologies and local cybersecurity solutions to create a safe and reliable system that meets all government rules. This system will be specially designed to protect important infrastructure.
