Today, KPIT Technologies (KPIT), a leading company in software-defined vehicle development announced that it has acquired a significant stake in N-Dream AG, the company that created AirConsole. Previously, KPIT owned 26 percent of N-Dream, but now it will own nearly 90 percent.
Andrin von Rechenberg, the founder, and Anthony Cliquot, the CEO, will continue to run N-Dream, which will still operate as a separate company within the KPIT group.
Andrin von Rechenberg said, “What started as a big idea in Switzerland has become a platform used by major car manufacturers worldwide. With KPIT’s support, we can maintain our culture of innovation while gaining the ability to create better in-car experiences.”
Since entering the automotive field in 2022, AirConsole has revolutionised the in-car entertainment experience. The platform allows passengers to use their smartphones as game controllers to play games on the car’s screen, along with sounds and lights that enhance the experience.
Now, N-Dream is looking to go beyond gaming. The company will create new in-car software that offers interactive features, personalization, and connected services for every journey.
Anthony Cliquot, the CEO of N-Dream AG, said, “This acquisition marks an exciting new beginning for N-Dream. Under KPIT’s ownership, N-Dream will keep operating independently, keeping its team and leadership in place.
Anthony Cliquot will stay as CEO, Andrin von Rechenberg will continue as Chief of Innovation, and Tobias Schneider will remain CFO. The founders have promised to maintain the company’s culture, support their team, and create long-term value for users, partners, and shareholders.
