Tata Communications has announced the integration of a new submarine cable system known as TGN-IA2. This system was developed by the Asia Direct Cable (ADC) consortium and will be integrated into Tata Communications’ existing network.
The TGN-IA2 cable is designed to provide better connectivity, more flexible bandwidth options, and quicker data transfer across various routes. It enables businesses, large tech companies, and service providers to access reliable and diverse connectivity solutions from one place for their networks in Asia. This new cable will work with Tata Communications’ existing infrastructure, allowing connections from Asia to important regions like the US, Europe, the Middle East, and India.
Unlike older systems built by many companies together, Tata Communications owns and controls the capacity of TGN-IA2. This gives them more freedom and the ability to respond quickly to customer needs.
Genius Wong, who is the Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Tata Communications, said, “We are dedicated to investing in advanced submarine cable systems to meet our customers’ increasing needs for strong, diverse, and high-performing connectivity solutions. Whether you are a cloud service expanding to Asia, a multinational company needing quick connections across continents, or a digital business growing globally, TGN-IA2 will support your future. This new addition to our network will strengthen Tata Communications’ role as a global leader in smart, safe, and scalable connectivity and innovation across borders.”
